About….

I’m a quarter of a decade old, working full time at Texas State University and still attending school (10 year plan is nearly complete). I enjoy some of the nerdier aspects of life such as sysadmin’ing and coding but I’m passionate about music, I follow the politico, like to enjoy a good beer or mixer, and I like riding bikes. I also download collect movies and my favorite tv shows like rescue me, entourage (yeah, yeah like the other 6 billion males out there), the usual animated suspects such as southpark, family guy and whatever else seems to be overly critical of the status quo. I love linux and enjoy my work-provided macbook pro despite growing up sysadmin’ing the microsoft side of life until about 5 years ago. I run ubuntu on my personal laptop and another box and play with a varied array of computer rigs I keep around for no real reason other than the fact that I like options and toys.

None of this is true.

This blog is going to serve as a reference for my own thoughts, technical resources and anything else I may come up with. It will not be thrilling…. all the time.
